What You'll Do

Set off from your Brighton hotel or Airbnb for a leisurely journey into the beautiful Sussex countryside. As you travel over the rolling South Downs, you will enjoy sweeping views of the National Park, Brighton’s coastline to the south, and peaceful farmland to the north.

There will be a stop at Devil’s Dyke, the longest, deepest and widest dry valley in England, where your guide will share the stories and geology behind this remarkable viewpoint once described by artist John Constable as the grandest view in the world. Your experience continues at Albourne Estate, a family-run boutique vineyard producing exceptional award-winning English wines.

During your guided tasting, your host will introduce you to their sparkling and still wines, explain how the distinctive Sussex terroir shapes their character, and provide insights into the estate’s sustainable approach to winemaking.

After the tasting, you are welcome to purchase additional wine or enjoy local cheese and charcuterie boards in the Tasting Room or on the sun-facing balcony overlooking the vineyard. You can also explore the estate further on a complimentary self-guided trail, complete with map and detailed guide. If you wish, the itinerary can be adapted to include a stop at a traditional Sussex pub for lunch before or after the vineyard visit.
