Devon is a county of variety and balance, where rolling green hills meet a beautifully varied coastline, and life unfolds at an easy, welcoming pace. Bordering Cornwall to the west and stretching from the Bristol Channel to the English Channel, Devon offers some of England’s most diverse and quietly captivating landscapes.

Inland, Devon is defined by its wide-open spaces. Dartmoor National Park feels ancient and elemental, with granite tors rising from heather-covered moorland and wild ponies roaming freely. To the east, the dramatic red cliffs and ancient rocks of East Devon mark the start of the UNESCO-listed Jurassic Coast, where fossils reveal stories millions of years old.

Devon is known for its rich dairy, fresh seafood, farm-grown produce, and its famously debated cream tea – enjoyed cream first, then jam, if you’re following local custom.
