What You'll Do

Experience Oxford as a place where history, literature and student life come together. This engaging 90-minute walking tour takes you through the city's most iconic landmarks, from the lamp post said to have inspired Narnia to the meadows where Lewis Carroll first shared the story of Alice in Wonderland. You will also take in some of the finest Gothic and Baroque architecture in the world, including Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian Library and the Bridge of Sighs.Led by an Oxford student or alumni, the tour blends centuries of history with personal insight into college traditions, quirks and daily life. Along the way, you will explore highlights such as Balliol College, Trinity College, Sheldonian Theatre, Radcliffe Square, St Mary's Church, Merton College and Christ Church Meadows.If you choose to add entry to New College, it will be pre-booked for you to visit independently after the tour. This shared experience is conducted in English and takes place outdoors, with indoor access available only when an additional entry option is selected.
